Lockdown and wildlife

Still happening - opened the back door at 10 pm last night to find a hedgehog trundling up the drive & haven't seen one of those for years.
Seen quite a few recently. Unfortunately all squashed in the middle of the road.

All kinds of birds nicking me cherries off the tree, won't be any left at his rate. How come they don't bother with the plums, anyone know?

And I know there's nothing wrong with me plums, they taste beautiful, made jars and jars of jam with them last year.

My cat is slowly killing off the local wildlife. He must climb trees as sometimes he comes back with baby birds one by one. I feel bad when it's a robin he gets. But it's far worse for me when it's a bloody rat!

Bumping this because I've recently been walking along the river Trent next to my house down to the local park just to get some exercise. I decided to snap a few things along the way so thought I'd share.

We have plenty of Swans and Canadian Geese around the river constantly. So much so that the council put a giant Swan garden feature in the Park.

Looks lovely wherever that is.

I love being by water. Rivers, streams, pools. Makes me feel good.

Common usage doesn't make it right.

A lot of people call them Koala Bears but they're bang wrong too.

Some nice pictures Bear, although I can't say I'm a fan of Canadian Geese, they do a lot of damage to banks and just become a pest.

They're noisy as well. Always hear them honking as they fly past regularly.

Anyone calling Canadian Geese Koala Bears are definitely wrong. I'll agree with you on that.

Them fuckin koala geese have been at it again

The Koala "Bear" shit does my fucking nut in.

Plus I must reiterate anyone who thinks a Koala is cute has never held one. Vicious little fuckers.

There is a reason they aren't called bears. It is because they don't have the right koala-fications...
