Wolves 0-1 Arsenal: Verdict Thread

Mosquera has looked fucking mint in his brief appearances tbf. So there's something to him.

Whether we ever see it in the Prem is another question, obviously.
Pre season isn’t always a true showing though. We looked fucking awful and then first 3 games of the season we played really well, albeit losing all 3.

Need to see a lot more of Mosq, but I doubt he will set the world alright straight away. Very few players bought for that type of money with his game time do. Hopefully im wrong, Ofcourse.

MGW is just another body really. Nice to have the option, but I won’t be pinning our hopes of becoming a really creative team on him.

Nicholas is like TWF genie, someone types MGW and up he pops

Probably in the minority but I rate Gibbs-White. I think he's easily good enough to be a premier league squad player now and is likely to improve further. Could easily see him being quite developing to a level similar to what Smith Rowe is now.

Doesn't sound great to hope he can develop into a player who's a year younger than him. Especially when MGW was so highly thought of previously and that potential was recognised at international level, if anything that comparison is showing how much better some of his peers have developed since their initial breakthrough.

Players develop at a different rate, how many of that England team are even playing top tier football, probably only a couple.

Without going down the projection route his development has been managed badly until this season. Not enough minutes under Nuno when he could have been growing out on loan, particularly in the second half of last season.

Again sort of reinforces the point, some players peak early and fade away to obscurity.

Guehi, Foden and Hudson-Odoi I think started that final with MGW, they're all Premier League regulars now and the latter two for top sides. Plenty of others that I've never heard of though, maybe it was MGW's peak as well as theirs?
