Can't really add much to what most have said.

I'm going to humblebrag and say I was the only one in the pub before the game who predicted a win (2-0 and it would've been but for England the incompetent prick). Even when Marçal was named at LWB.

I'm still not sure on Lage, yesterday it looks like he gets the selection wrong, (Marçal was ok, nothing more) and we play some scintillating stuff with a high press. It makes you feel bouyant and how going to a game should do.

But then he'll do something like a West Ham performance when there's absolutely no need.

I get that he's learning and he needs time, it's just frustrating to watch at times. He really is a high or low manager.

Nothing in between.

The hope of European football and exciting play is enough for now though and if he can get more performances like that out of Fabio he's certainly worth keeping.

Moutinho clear MotM, Jonny not far away and as an aside Max Kilman's distribution was magnificent.

If we are keeping Boly we could have seen the last of Saiss in a Wolves shirt. I think with games together the starting 3 CB's of Boly Coady Kilman could be very very hard to break down and then you've got younger options in Gomes and Mosquera in reserve.

Love Saiss and he's been quality for us and exceptional value for money, just think if we want to free up some wages he's probably prime to leave with him out of contract.

Agreed. He'll also be taking up a 'non uk' squad space, and as it stands we've only got one (presuming we don't register Shabani and do register either Adama or Trincao)

I’m not entirely sure but I thought players already at the club were not counted.

Nah pretty sure it's just a straight limit of 17, with u21s not counting. Presumably Marcal will be gone too

Or maybe Saiss will be kept to play midfield after Neves and Mout leave...

A proper performance that one, if they'd scrambled a draw it would have been a travesty. The front three linked well throughout and that's Fabio's best performance by a mile so far, could be the making of him. Stood up well to the physical challenge, chased everything and was worthy of a goal.

Moutinho magical once again, please don't let him walk away in a few weeks, he's still absolutely top class.

A seriously thumping finish by Jonny, we should try to get him in those areas more often because he could get us quite a few goals.

Delighted it was Young who nodded home the OG. Always hated him. Within two minutes of waddling on he was bawling at the linesman. Fuck off you prick.

Referee - shambolic last half hour and that's no way a penalty, ridiculous. How in the age of VAR have we had three disastrous awards against us this season? Shouldn't happen at all.

Season still alive, we can beat Newcastle if we play like that.

Leaving Saiss and RAN out a possible a decision based on Ramadan and their fasting and thinking 90 mins in a high energy game would push them too far?

Next game shouldn't be an issue with an 8pm kick off

Saiss had a slight knock according to one of Spiers or Little Liam

I wondered that, also a good excuse to give them a rest after Leeds to get their heads right.

Great result of course. Could have been 5 up at HT, maybe should have been 3 up at HT. Of course, the usual nervy ending means I have no nails left. Jonny is a warrior! Ashley Young is still a twat, despite that great finish. Credit where credit's due, Dendoncker had a decent game, pity he let himself down with that wild shot when clean through in the first half. Fabio and Tricao showing that, along with Neto, Cundle and a few others I can mention, we're in a half decent position for the next few seasons, assuming we keep a hold of 'em. However, my MOTM goes to the elder statesmen, who again defied time. 5'7 of football heaven. Take a bow, Joao, you were immense, again! To think, most of us dumb asses thought he was finished last season!

João was brilliant wasn't he. I think he might be my favourite ever Wolves player.

To those convinced refs are out to get us, my only question is why? There is not a conspiracy to stop us finishing 7th. Nobody really cares outside of us, it's not even West Ham's priority at the moment. I'm not questioning the 3 shockers we've had this season although it's probably only Leeds that actually cost us points, just what would be the motivation for a conspiracy? Personally I think that gives too much respect to what is just institutional incompetence
I do wonder if refs respond to some of our play acting - Podence I'm looking at you - by letting close calls go in favour of our opponents, their thinking going along the lines of "I know they go down easily at times so if I'm not certain I'll let it go". Not a conspiracy, not really trying to deliberately disadvantage us, simply the kind of response many of us would make if confronted with players over-egging challenges on a regular basis.

Every team does it, McGinn put in an Oscar worthy performance yesterday yet they get the decisions. Yes I’m fully aware England didn’t receive any payments from Villa yesterday but he gave them absolutely everything and us nothing. Incompetence works both ways, we rarely get the rub of the green.

There's no doubt players that go over easily eventually get to the stage where they stop getting decisions in their favour even when they should be. Going back 25 years ago, Goodman had to be decapitated to get a foul as he got reputation for diving. We've had 1 pen in a year and that was given by VAR. Pep has supposedly told Grealish to pack it in.

That said I don't see how that plays to the Moutinho or Watkins pens or the Raul second yellow.

He also robbed them of at least 2 mins of injury time at the point they had a head of steam up. The ball was in play for about a minute of the 4 added. He is, like the rest of them, just shit

It seemed to me the ref blew early for the end of the game, with all the shenanigans, I was expecting a couple more minutes, think he knew he'd lost control and went for the cowards way out.

It doesn't, but maybe they'd be seen as just shit decisions if the referee hasn't failed to give four or five marginal decisions against us earlier in the game. I'm just putting a suggestion forward. I know when I see players from other teams throwing themselves to the floor I'm hoping they get clattered. It would go against human nature if certain behaviours from players doesn't at least subconsciously have an impact on how refs judge future incidents.
