    Aston Villa (A) 30/3: Build-Up & Match Thread

Unfair in my view to blame Sa for the goal. Good shot. We lack any real threat up front. Not surprising with an 18 year old leading the line. Not his fault either. Hope Ait Nouri starts to do the simple things well. Would make a nice change.

[FA Cup Quarter-Final] Wolves 2-3 Coventry: Verdict Thread

We lost the game; then won it; then lost it - again. Unbelievable.

    Coventry (H, FAC) 16/3: Build-Up & Match Thread

Fraser may well be a good player for us in time. Feel more optimistic for him than I ever did about Fabio, but today we need someone up front who can impose himself a bit more than Fraser can at present. Maybe Doc up front? We need to try something, as Cov are proving a tough nut to crack, and...

    General Wolves News

Beale sacked after just 12 games in charge, and on a 2.5 year contract. With Rangers too, that’s two big paydays for not a lot, even assuming the contracts weren’t paid up in full. He or his agent must be on the ball to secure a deal like that with Sunderland.

    Tottenham 1-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

Double over Spurs. Should teach the cockneys some respect, but they’ll be their usual entitled prat’s next season. We are a decent side in the EPL and that’s down to a good coach, and a good back up staff (including medics) who have done wonders with a small squad. Excellent work by Gary...

Wolves 3-4 Man Utd: Verdict Thread

What can you make of that? Undone by a poor first half as it turned out. Could have been 4 or more down at half time, fought back so well in the second, just about deserved a point overall only to concede a really good goal. I feel a lot more positive than I did at half time. We move on and...

    Man Utd (H) 1/2: Build-Up & Match Thread

We are still, just about, in this but are fortunate to be so. I’m not complaining as we’ve done brilliantly this season with a small squad. We are being caught out tonight though. A pity, but there it is.

    Man Utd (H) 1/2: Build-Up & Match Thread

I hate to say it but they are playing well and have shocked us. We are lucky it’s only 2 - 0. We need to get a grip on this, and come out with something better in the second half. A goal back would be ideal before half time, but that doesn’t look likely.

[FA Cup 4th Rnd] West Brom 0-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I thought we did exactly the right thing in playing steadily for the first 20 or so to blunt their initial rush, and look to hit them on the break. Neto’s goal took the wind right out of their sails, and whilst 1 -0 is never enough, I thought we were increasingly in control of the game. Sure...

    Brighton (A) 22/1: Build-Up & Match Thread

It was so long ago, it’s hard to remember very clearly, but I think I enjoyed the games more all those years ago, because we had a good side who played good football. Also I was a great deal fitter, slimmer, and buzzing with energy. 🙂 Mind you, Nuno’s team were terrific in their own right, and...

Yea, Dougan, Richards, and Jim McCalliog. Wow, 52 years ago. Reduced to thoughtfulness

Yes I was at Old Trafford too. Really good performance and a deserved win. Just for once it really was like watching Brazil ! I’ll have to look up our scorers, but I’m guessing John Richards got at least one, and Dougan?

    Your first Wolves game

My first game was sometime in the mid (?) 1960’s under the Molineux floodlights vs Chelsea. I think we had the “flying pig” Terry Wharton on the wing. My memory tells me we won, but when I tried to look it up a few years ago, out of interest, I think I could only find a draw. I saw Dougan and...

    Wolves 1-0 Burnley: Verdict Thread

I thought we deserved the win. Had the better of the game other than the first twenty minutes (another slow start). After the goal we looked the better team. Despite their win on Saturday, Burnley looked as though they lacked confidence once they went behind. Obviously 1 - 0 is never enough, but...

Sheff Utd 2-1 Wolves: Verdict Thread

We, as a club, have suffered more than most this season (I think) from poor refereeing and even worse VAR decisions. If the PL is a first class “product” it is being devalued by a third class officiating system. Maybe Arsenal’s displeasure at events at Newcastle will add a heavyweight element...
