4 year deal (instead of a higher salary over a short period, say 2 years) is likely because;
- We reward him for his performances, don't have to spend £20m on a replacement, and don't have to find yet another captain
- We get to spread the cost over a longer period of time, so better for FFP

Wolverhampton Wanderers
Even after reporting a £128m loss over the 3-year monitoring period, Wolves were fine for PSR up to 2023/24, as they could make £37m allowable deductions for “healthy” expenditure, leading to an adjusted PSR loss of £90m, which was £15m below the £105m maximum loss...
Imagine he’s using the phone as a wifi hotspot? Quite a few interesting snippets in there. Referring to Djiga as “The red star guy”; Using Docusign, then presumably just signing blank A4 paper for the photoshoot. Munetsi’s French is really good too - he seems a lovely guy and really switched on
Imagine he’ll play right of the front three, with the width coming from Semedo; Focussing on pressing duties whilst Cunha focuses more on the build up play.
I posted this in the transfer window thread earlier but thought it was worth sharing again here as it highlights his rather interesting skillset https://breakingthelines.com/player-analysis/marshall-nyasha-munetsi-reims-zimbabwean-midfielder/
Munetsi certainly sounds like he at least has the skills to be an effective impact player for us this season - able to chip in with goals, particularly when we are attacking down the flanks, and strong at defending leads when up against set pieces and balls into the box.
That said, I can...
Yeah the worry is that having kept a clean sheet yesterday, on top of Bellegarde’s performance in midfield, the club now think we will survive relegation comfortably and no longer need a new centre half or midfielder to compete
At least Semedo clearly cannot and will not ever be able to defend a back post. Whereas Ait Nouri has enough about him to be a good defender but just doesn’t bother at times
Some interesting insights here and from a tactical perspective explains a lot regarding why we are/were looking to sign Manu and sell Lemina

Next game for Ipswich after Liverpool is Saints so you have to expect 3 points there, but then they have Aston Villa, Tottenham (new manager bounce?), Man United, Crystal Palace, Forest and Bournemouth before we play them away on 5 April.
I really hope this saps their confidence. It’s a straight shoot for relegation between us and Ipswich, I just can’t see us finishing any higher than 17th and feels like Everton will have enough again this season
