    I admit to liking Vesta curries - and Vesta paella for that matter. Are they easy to find in the Midlands? I have to walk miles to find Vestas where I live, and usually buy four or five at a time.

    That's one possibility. Or... We got some pak choi in the bag as well. I might attempt a Nigella Lawson Thai curry recipe that combines the pak choi and the butternut squash.

    My flatmate bought some fresh veg yesterday from her college. It's £5 a bag, locally sourced, and you do get a fair amount. But there's one vegetable in the bag that we cannot identify. It's about 1 foot long, very wide, very heavy, with a short stalk at one end. It's a faint yellow colour...
