The Cricket Thread

Any news why Sam Hain hasn't been playing for Warwickshire. He was on 12th man duties for the last game and isn't included again today.

A lot of rain about, but in the main the Championship scores this round are more in keeping with what you't expect in mid April so far.

Even with Kookaburra caveats for the first two games, Warks suddenly seem to have learned how to bat. Only been about 15 years since we had a decent top order.

333 vs Worcs
698/3 dec vs Durham
327/3 vs Hants on day one

149 for Davies today, finally showing why we signed him

Cameron Steel is a bit of a surprise this season so far - leading wicket taker in Div 1 now with 20 @ 12.15 as it stands.

Gloucestershire 2nd Innings. Was it Boycott who said "one brings two" or was he just "add two wickets to the score"?

Cricinfo reckon we're recalling Jordan for the T20 World Cup which is fucking ridiculous.

Buttler
Salt
Jacks
Bairstow
Duckett
Brook
Livingstone
Moeen
Curran
Jordan
Hartley
Rashid
Archer
Wood
Topley

Woakes playing 0 games at the IPL has hurt him. But even so, he's got to be better than a completely washed-up Jordan.

Curran trading off the last T20 World Cup in different conditions (and nearly 18 months ago), he's been total shite ever since.

I really like(d) Jordan but that’s totally insane. Does show there’s very little proven / competent alternatives though.

I mean they took Carse to the World Cup, surely he's better?

Jordan isn't even playing for anyone at the moment. Plus they're picking him instead of Jamie Overton who would also have been a terrible selection.
