Yep, I’m definitely putting Brexit on Jeff.

Ive ordered various items from outside the EU and none have taken this long. Granted they weren't coming in as one large container shipment but surely the fact it's been delayed for months should drive some sort of back up plan, but nothing.

The global supply chain is utterly fucked, Ws. This isn't on Jeff any more than the PS5 shortage is.

But you can't just whip up ps5s out of fresh air. All they are giving people is a crap snood and a hat. Could be made anywhere in the world really at low cost. Obviously I understand the supply chain issue but to not rectify it by sourcing alternatives is a joke.

Made even worse by being told when I called up to cancel due to that membership plus bollocks, the membership isn't just for ticket loyalty, you get sign up gifts and discounts off the wolves shop. The charlatans won't agree if I ask for a pro rata refund based on part of it not being fulfilled will they?

I highly recommend that you look into some of the literature out there on why the supply chain is currently so broken. I won't bore everyone with the details here, but suffice to say that if it was as easy as "sourcing alternatives", then we wouldn't be in this position.

For a wooly hat with a badge on? Give over man. Could be ordered from any number of UK based manufacturers.

Piss poor management in the main Alan.

The club could've sourced hats and gloves not 40 miles from Molineux if they wanted, made in the UK. There's a fair amount of places in the East Midlands currently touting for work.

The club are not making resource intensive products and they'll probably be the same cost when you add current transport costs on.

Edit: I even know of two places just off the Penn Road that make hats and gloves as well as a warehouse full of embroidery machines.

I would be genuinely curious to know what time frame they would give you for an order of that size.

What size, maybe 20k units?

Place in Wolverhampton has about 60 machinists and enough embroidery machines to do 10's of thousands in a week. Place in Leicester has about half that but knitting machines to do the bulk of the work. Place in Nottingham could knock out around 5000 hats in a week with embroidery.

So yeah, plenty doable given the Wolves order would be relatively small compared to branded orders for companies.

Given any order from China would have to spend 6 weeks on a boat and QA is at best variable at the moment I think I'd be trusting the UK right now even given the increase in price per unit.

We're not some tinpot shithole country with zero manufacturing, we're pretty good at it

It's a pen a notepad and some fecking stickers. There's issues with supply chains but the world hasn't stopped spinning for gods sake.

If it’s a pen, notepad and stickers, and you’re an adult, why does anyone care?
It's my kids membership and neither me or my kids are that bothered, I've never collected the stuff previously.

It is embarrassing that the club can't manage to meet several deadlines for the delivery of some tat that I've had no choice but to pay for the postage on top of the useless membership fee

Kids are a little different, I’m still waiting for my Wolves dribblers stuff from 2020.

I get why they have to do the tat though, members do expect something for their money..

It wasn't exactly my point, it was more that it's a bit of a shit show not to be able to procure something so trivial, especially when you make people pay for postage.

I am well aware of the issues surrounding supply chains but this can't be anything other than a balls up.

I'm weighing up whether to bother with memberships again, I don't go enough to justify an £85 tax (it'll be more next year as my eldest goes up a price bracket) to get the opportunity for a bun fight for tickets.

Why can’t they just say that they can’t get the tat and hand out £8 or something as discounts?

They've already paid for it, is my guess.

Which, yes, is money grubbing little shite behavior from them.

Not really how we work here Alan. I'd be very surprised if we paid for anything before it was landed in the UK.
