Decent goal that. I think I would offer an extension and bring him into the first team squad back here.
All down to his desire to come back to England, which I think will be low

What we do have is a player of value should we go shopping in Spain and want to include him as part of the deal

Same as flog Vinagre will get us a deal on a Benfica player. Sell him to Valencia maybe and take one of their best?

I think there is a lot to be said for capitalising on players when they're "hot". No guarantee he can do it anywhere else or even follow it up next season.

Granted, he does look good though

We need to get Cutrone some first team football next season

He doesn't get first team football because he's rubbish so he'd have to drop down to a pretty shit level to get any meaningful game time. We are going to lose nearly all our money on him if not all.

Got a few mill back in loan fees, so not a total loss but can't win them all.

Don't agree he is rubbish though. Attitude not the best but he has some talent and I think he will get back on track after he actually leaves us for some middling Seria A team

I reckon he'd do well at a champ club. £5m - £8m would be realistic I think and certainly better than nothing.

He's got no outstanding attributes at all. He will probably play out his career in Serie B after a couple more unproductive loans.

No ones paying £5-8m for him. That market doesn’t exist in the championship. You’re either paying a lot for something proven or very little on a gamble.

Well he didn't land in Wolverhampton because we were bored and fancied signing him for the lolz. He had shown the attributes to break through at Milan and get a move to us and also with the Italy U23's.
The main reason it didn't work though was because he really didn't want to come here. Milan had to sell players and he was one, probably because they could get max value for him based on performances and potential. He then came here, had no friends or family with him, took little interest in learning the language and being part of the group outside of training. His attitude at not being picked he was ensuring he got his 1 way ticket out of town.
He just needs to cut ties with us and get on with his life. He made a big call binning his rent a gob agent before Christmas.

It's a moved that failed for us and we will lose money but I can see him doing a Rafa Mir and making his name (again) at a lesser team in the top flight in Italy.

Plenty of players break through at big clubs that aren't very good in the long run this is just another to add to that list. He'd made just over 60 senior appearances when we signed him so we were always taking a gamble on potential anyway. He's scored 19 league goals in his career and 13 were before we even signed him.

Good hit by Mir but if Rui goes please don’t replace him with the Cadiz keeper!

The Florence loan killed any chance we had of getting meaningful money beyond loan fees back.

Thoughts on Mir? Will he be given an opportunity to come back and compete with Silva/Raul next season, or reckon we’ll cash in and spend the money elsewhere?

Tough decision. His value may never be higher, but we are a side that struggles to score goals and he’s done alright this season.

I suppose Wolves will speak to him and see where his head is at.

He won't want to come back to England to sit behind Raul, particularly as he's finding success in Spain.

As mentioned, we'll use his form to get a good deal for him.

Am I the only one who doesn't care a jot if we lose money on Cutrone?

We will sell him, think he's only got one year left on his deal. No point him coming here, playing backup to Raul as we will get nothing for him next summer.

I don't really care either as he's never getting back in to Nuno's thoughts but any money we get for him is more for the club to spend on someone else so hopefully we can loan him out to someone and like Mir has a good season that puts some value back on any transfer fee we can get.
