As a fervent Wolves supporter since 1953 who has been living in Vancouver since 1969, allow me to add a corrective to some of the worst arrogant nonsence I have heard for some time. If I were to harangue the forum by saying that Wolves currently cannot live in the Premier League because my only recent experience of their matches dates back to the time of Kenny Jackett or even worse, Dean Saunders, then you would likely call me a fool and be quite correct. I know that Wolves are doing very well in the Premier League because I watch every game they play. They could be doing better but I'll leave that for the forum to debate. But some of you clearly have not seen the transformation that has come over the Canadian national team since John Herdman (who hails from Consett, Co. Durham) took over as coach in 2018. No-one ever dreamed that he could improve the team in the brilliant way he has done. By previous experience, they should be one of the lower teams in CONCACAF (like Jackett's Wolves, dull and uninspiring). But they are not. They now have players turning out for Canada who could easily play for the respective European countries in which they play, more than 7 of them play for clubs who played in the UEFA Champions League this season. And they topped the group ahead of the USA and Mexico without Alphonso Davies who is still not playing for Bayern München. Not only is Herdman a great tactition and motivator but he also knows how to attract talented players in Europe to come back to play for their native country. So be careful how you form your judgment. It's much better to base it on first-hand, up-to-date evidence rather than on dated bravado. Remember, there is no way you can equate Nuno's Wolves with the teams of Kenny Jackett or Dean Saunders. Wolves have been transformed: and so have Canada!

The draw's not too bad for them an over the hill Croatia and a run of the mill Morocco. D1L2 is on!

Makes sense, as having the hosts lose the opening game probably does the tournament any favours. Although the other two hardly scream start the tournament with a bang either.

The FA is abandoning Three Lions as its official anthem as other nations may find it arrogant and offensive. Sweet Caroline is the favourite to replace it.

No its not April Fools Day

🙄

I don't need to hear Sweet Caroline ever again, thank you. It had its moment in the Euros, but it doesn't need regurgitating anymore. Falls in to the same bracket as Is This The Way To Amarillo for me, Clive.

Same for Three Lions to some extent. If (gods forbid) we ever actually win anything then maybe re-release it...
But if we have to select something from the vaults, World in Motion please.

If people need 'a song' we really need something completely new, tricky things though football songs, personally don't mind 3 lions but it's well out of date. Problem is coming up with a theme that's positive and uplifting seeing as we've won fuck all for nearly 60 years.
Tbh I can manage quite nicely without a song.

The FA have denied this and who would have thought that the Scum would get something wrong?

As for the Three Lions, I associate it with failure and the fact that it has been thrown back in our faces by the Germans, Italians and Croatians means that I'd chuck it in the bin until we eventually win something.

Australia topped Peru last night on penalties to qualify.
