They worked for me :)

What superb musical tastes we share!!!

I'm in the middle of my Primal Scream catch up at present thanks to NWW! Mind you I've had to tone down a couple of my email responses with work as the music influenced my approach to work and I was far from conciliatory!

I went to see Michelle Shocked a couple of years ago. Quite possibly the most insane person I've ever encountered. 90 minutes of aggressively heckling the audience and deliberately ruining the songs people had come to hear. She seemed a tad unstable.

Saw her around 30 years ago supporting The Beafniks and Billy Bragg in Birmingham (she had just been discovered via her camp fires LP and was fresh and superb). Tried to get tickets a while ago when she played Moseley but it conflicted with Attila the Stockbroker so was unable to go! Isobel Ringing and 5am remain classics mind!

On a similar note Sinead O Connor's 'The Lion and the Cobra' remains one of my favourite records of all time but she is also less than happy to perform any of them live (possibly because of how personal they are). Such a shame as Troy live is one of the greatest performances I have ever witnessed.
