Ever changing face of Wolves

Lloyds closing the big branch on Queen Street. Been there nearly 150 years.

Thats a surprise, thought the Wednesfield branch would have gone first, another massive building to stand empty for years then

Just looked it’s moving into the mander centre instead

Love this comment on the story about the closure

We missed out on Pubil because he only likes playing for teams who have a bank near by in a grand old building. Bastard hates modern smaller banking hubs.

Let’s hope Asda never shuts, we’d have nowhere to show players round

My dad built radio controlled planes for him, every time he came round to collect them we’d shout “ daaaaaad it’s that bloke off the telly”

chat with friends on match day has recently focused on the very limited options for decent hostelries.
there is clearly a lot of work happening in Wolverhampton at the mo. Do we think it'll have long term success?
I do like the majority of the proposals. I do wonder how existing businesses are coping tho, & the time taken for some of those projects feels long (but I'd rather they get it right).

I do accept the sting the large rise in parking charges causes for many. I'm comfortable parking a distance away from town & walking in, but many don't have that luxury, so public transport is an essential consideration.

Anyone ever been to Malik's Butchers? Looks great.

Ocean chippy featured too for its orange chips and Desi Yew Tree, which I've walked past so many times and never gone in.

Really good to see someone talking so positively about Wolvo.

I actually really enjoyed that video, the presenter is pretty good, it's good to see a positive angle on a place that has a lot of detractors and highlights a few of its good points. Them Malik boys are a hoot.
Just one slight issue, am I a man out of time? But did I hear right? A 20 quid sandwich? That's nuts.
