Jeremy Corbyn

And this won't split the Labour vote, Starmer's government has spent the last year doing that.

I do find it hilarious how self described "centrists" get into such a blind rage when they see or hear Corbyn.
Starmer literally said 'You know where the door is'.😂 Morgan McSweeney thinks its 1994 so they're copying the Mandelson 'ignore the working class - they've got nowhere else to go' strategy.

YourParty hit 140,000 membership sign ups in 10 hours. Regardless of what your opinion is of the man, there is definitely an appetite for a left alternative party to take on the empty promises of the Labour Party. Someone has to take on Reform, because right now Starmer and his corrupt cronies are gift wrapping them an election win.
180k now.

180k people have put their name onto a web form and clicked submit?

Truly this is a momentous occasion. Need to get them paying subs so Jezza can take a few more holidays.

Be interesting to see how many are still hanging around 12 months from now when the party is still debating what quorum they need to debate the procedural rules of the executive subcommittee for policy, subsection 3.

Look at his posting history. It's virtually all either Corbyn hate or pro-Israel. That's it. Hardly ever comes on a Wolves forum to discuss Wolves.
See this is the problem. Im not pro Israel, any more than anyone can be pro any country.

I simply think that theres some fairly obvious double-standards going on when it comes to what Israel is doing, which gets rightly condemned, versus other countries that get a free pass. I think there are valid questions as to why that is.

Im not sure that makes me 'pro Israel'

230,000 sign ups in 24 hours. More than the Reform membership. They have to deliver policies that can counter the lies and misinformation that Reform spews out, but the biggest obstacle might be that the mainstream media are Farage sycophants so will be full steam ahead with promoting Reform and finding every possible slur about Corbyn/Sultana they can.

Back on the party. I am a little conflicted. While I find I do largely have lots of support for Corbynista policies (except his pro-Brexit mentality), and I a pleased that the left has something new and shiny to get excited about, I don't especially like JC, and don't think he's great at politics and/or media (and I accept that not all of that is on him, he was clearly rejected by the establishment). Clearly, he's got every passionate base, but I'm not sure if he's got the appeal to grab swing voters, and whereas Reform can grab votes from the Tory right, I think his presence may be too toxic to completely grab the Labour left. That said, I'll almost certainly join.

He's toxic to many (look at Vis's reaction) but thats also part of his appeal. He'll force a different argument.

If it does nothing other than help to stop Starmer wanking off the right, then it's a good thing.

Indeed.

Its hard to see how, given the scale of his failure with the entire machinery of the Labour Party behind him in 2019 that he can realistically make a dent in 2025. Hes a marmite politician, which you might get away with if its 50/50, but with him its more 80/20 against him. He also has a habit of giving his enemies all the ammo they need.

I totally get the desire for a real alternative to the established parties, I really do. But this isnt it.

If you think Starmer is going to do a single thing just because of Corbyn then you havent been paying attention.

Sultana should be the one front and centre, she's eloquent, passionate, and quite funny. I do think this party should at least explore collaborating with the Greens and set aside any differences they may have in order to build a united progressive campaign. I think there would be considerable support for that and a vacuum exists for a genuine alternative to the mainstream shit.

And I have signed up. Not because of Corbyn, more so Sultana, and because they have policies.
