Jeremy Corbyn

Saying something you disagree with isnt trolling.

But if you think its is, feel free to report it and the other admins/mods will make a decision that I will stand by.

It's not impossible to reconcile though.

He has/had views that were in opposition to the MPs in his party, so for what he believed to be the good of the party he parked those beliefs.

That's a quality not something to criticise, particularly if you are also criticising him for being in opposition to his own party when he was a backbencher?
The only thing he's ever liked about the Labour Party is its willingness to let him have a safe seat.

As I've said before, he made it a safe seat himself by being an excellent constituent MP.

What absolutely confirms this is that he still comfortably won the seat whilst not standing as a Labour MP!!!

But completely ignoring the points made in a response to you, and repeating something that simply can't be true could be seen as trolling or posting in bad faith.

Theres no real difference in Labour votes before versus after he became MP in 1983. More volatile certainly, but its always hovered around 50/60 percent.

Why do you keep ignoring the fact that absolutely pisses over your point.

It is no longer a Labour seat!!!

I dont think you can ignore the unique circumstances of the 2024 election.

It's absolutely fucking desperate. 😂 Funniest thing is centrists will justify all sorts of top level heinous shit from St Tony, Campbell and the likes, but the minute Corbyn farts it's like the worst thing ever.

My personal opinion is the people who dislike him are usually quite privileged, and Brexit is the only political decision that has affected them. Ever. And they believe (idiotically) that he did a Brexit.

They don't care about Iraq, austerity or even Gaza cos it doesn't affect them. But Brexit. Fuck me. They'll get nuclear on your ass.

Hes a complete betrayal of progressive politics. Hes why we dont win.

And his narcissism and ego wont allow him to admit that the left would be better served by almost anyone else as its figurehead.

Well as Brexit is one of the most catastrophic things a country has voluntarily done to itself in the last 50+ years, he can take his lumps for it.

There's a shit ton of catastrophic things we've done to ourselves (and others) since 1975. Corbz didn't call the referendum or campaign to leave as far as I can recall.

Go on then, who should be the "figurehead" of the left?

Someone other than Corbyn. His flaws aren't predicated on the existence of some alternative.
