The first sentence would make sense if we hadn’t just taken off every other CB except him…

He’s a bit rash and clumsy but in the centre of the back 3 he was just sweeping etc. I don’t want to be all revisionist because I we singing his praises last year. But I’ve noticed him being late to duels but this just seems him rather than being injured. If he’s being utterly hopeless AND injured, then why the fuck is he playing when we have plenty of alternatives there.

I know that’s what’s baffling and obviously at odds with that idea. But he’s so sluggish, and he wasn’t that before.

And you surely don’t just become a bad player overnight. He was immense at times last season
