Manchester City (a) 02.05.25 8pm - Build up and Match Thread

So glad we offloaded Nunes. He's such a lousy footballer. Looks like a passenger, just like he did for the majority of the time for us.

OK.... H/T 1-0. Two really bad misses by us and City score from the one clear chance they created. Ruthless. Important to get in at the break only a goal down. Chance to reset.

Thought we did well for 30 minutes but needed half time as city got the passing going and we were struggling to get out. Thought that was a decent half between two good sides. Didn't think I'd be saying that about us a few months back.

Played well for most of the half, ragged for the last 5 minutes.
They took their good chance, we missed ours.

Played very well at times.
Should have scored.
Missed our chances.
0 - 1 down half time.
Somehow so predictable.
If we keep playing as we have.
We’ll get at least a point.

Played well but a slight lack of quality cost us. We were creaking before we conceded.

Does it still go under Munetsi’s leg or is that an optical illusion?

Better team for the first half an hour, once they scored they took over the game. Disappointing for the goal. It might have been the first mistake Andre made in the game, he'd been brilliant up until that point. Can't really see a way back, we probably needed to score first and score late!

The only real difference I'm seeing between tonight and the win under Nuno is City have took one of their chances tonight. We were equally wasteful that day in the first half but managed to get away with it by hook or by crook.

Long way back from here. Hopefully they gift us something.

Player down injured. Keep playing until they realise they’re not going anywhere then ref blows his whistle. Ankle is the new head injury. Infuriates me

ref let city play with a player on the floor then stop it as soon as we win the ball?
