I think it got over 100f here yesterday, air temps about 110f, which feels like 110f or 40c
Even worse as the ac decided to give up the ghost last tuesday!
I think it was about 10 degrees air temp this afternoon but we have had 60km winds so the wind chill was significant. You notice that when you live at the height of the tops of the Lake District.
Wind is the real killer in the cold, not dissimilar to humidity with heat, IMV.
Obviously doesn’t cross the board. My 3rd year at university we had a historically wild cold snap, down around -35C. My left eye froze shut mid-blink as I walked to class. Fuck me that was a cold day.
