New - The things that really annoy you

issues escalating with a miserable cunt of a neighbour, resulting in an over the fence confrontation yesterday when he was throwing waste wood over into our garden.

Jury service done.

Got put on a trial on Day 1that finished today after 9 days.

Not a nice 2 weeks and the most stressful thing I have ever done. A proper full testing of my mental health.

Still trying to get to grips with it all, even though it's completed.

Breath deeply, relax, find your centre, calmly approach him, then bust him in the mouth with right hand while emptying his waste wood from a bin liner all over him.
Hope that helps 😎
P.S. if he's a 6'3" ex wrestler, buy some new running shoes 🤗

Wait until his washing is out and then set fire to the waste wood

Do they offer any kind of counselling services?

In the many documents I have there is something about counselling being offered.

It's the mix of everything that does you in - the court process, the charges, the cross examinations, the dull speeches, the discussions on the verdict, the immense amount of time doing nothing and that overwhelming part of making sure what you decide is correct and you leave the court happy you did as asked.

I have one part that is annoying me but I think that is because the prosecution was a bag of nails and helped create uncertainty and somehow managed to block a route to guilty on 1 charge by addng in stuff that wasn't needed or indeed could be shown to be true.

You did the best you could with what you had available at the time.

Just before we were sent home last night though, the court did get lively after our judge sentenced a man to 22 years in prison.

He had sexually assaulted 11 women in Stoke in just 3 hours! Just drove around and randomly picked them out, age did not matter.
He kicked off at the sentence which had the place on red alert

I had something similar, with similar charges. I thought the alleged victim was let down by the prosecution.

It's this kind of thing that women face that I don't think men, in general, really understand or comprehend

The twice I've been called up, been disappointed that I was never on a jury. Glad I wasn't on your case though, sounds horrific.
Hopefully got was coming to him.

At some point i will share more info but will say it's not as straight forward as you would have hoped.

To give you an idea of the prosecution case - when they wrapped up their questions they accused him of being many things but never once said "I put to you that you are a rapist" which was odd as it was the majority of the charges against him.

Dunno how it is over there, but here it seems to be the case that women are socialized to protect themselves from rapists far more than men are socialized to keep their dicks to themselves.

The jury service I did was an armed robbery of a post office, it lasted 6 days and then back into the waiting area,
On the second Thursday I was selected again, for a murder trial that was looking to go for a minimum of 14 days. On the Friday morning the defendant changed his plea to guilty so I didn't have to do "extra time"

Never done jury service, was a standby witness for the prosecution in the April Jones murder in mid wales 10 years or so ago.
I was the last person to see the killer before he did it!
I’d been on the local villages plus Machynlleth town service, picked him up outside his house, took him to Mach, he got off my bus, caught the Aberystwyth bus walked round Aber, then caught the buses back the police followed him everywhere on cctv.
I didn’t know him,( when the police said they thought the vehicle of the killer could be lhd because April got in via the drivers door, 200+ locals told the police his name, he’d got the only lhd vehicle locally) but saw his house on the news and told the police I’d picked someone up from nearby on the day, apparently when interviewed he told the police he’d not left his house that day, they disagreed, he said prove it, so they blew that out the water by showing him the bus cctv of him getting on the bus and me chatting to him.
