New - The things that really annoy you

My dad was a key witness in the Carl Bridgewater murder trial and subsequent appeals

issues escalating with a miserable cunt of a neighbour, resulting in an over the fence confrontation yesterday when he was throwing waste wood over into our garden.
As a retired Housing Office of many years, let me tell you that you can never win in these disputes.
The only solution is moving I’m afraid.

Never done jury service, was a standby witness for the prosecution in the April Jones murder in mid wales 10 years or so ago.
I was the last person to see the killer before he did it!
I’d been on the local villages plus Machynlleth town service, picked him up outside his house, took him to Mach, he got off my bus, caught the Aberystwyth bus walked round Aber, then caught the buses back the police followed him everywhere on cctv.
I didn’t know him,( when the police said they thought the vehicle of the killer could be lhd because April got in via the drivers door, 200+ locals told the police his name, he’d got the only lhd vehicle locally) but saw his house on the news and told the police I’d picked someone up from nearby on the day, apparently when interviewed he told the police he’d not left his house that day, they disagreed, he said prove it, so they blew that out the water by showing him the bus cctv of him getting on the bus and me chatting to him.
Wow!

I'm pretty sure sellers are legally obliged to tell buyers about any disputes raised with the council too

Pro-tip, if you need

My one and only Jury Service was for an attempted murder, a gangland feud case.
The guy was guilty as hell- his own ssister testified that she had seen him.on the night running from the victims property.
The most surprising and unnerving thing for me, was that 3 of the defendants brothers were seated in the public gallery, they all looked the same and at the end of each day's proceedings, the jury and the public all exited into the same large hall in the Four Courts. I could easily have been flagged as a juror and followed afterwards. I remember being paranoid and looking behind me on my way home every day.
Since then, Dublin got a new Central Criminal court and jurors now leave through a separate exit.

We left everyday via the main entrance. The usher would walk us to the door.

So we walked out with everyone bar the defendent each day.

Did however walk by him on one lunch break as he had a cigarette outside the court.

Wasn’t going to say anything, but there’ll be a huge collective shrug around Machynlleth over that, the family were not popular in the town.
If you want details I’ll pm you.
