Rugby League Thread

Interesting. The women's origin game they are referring to was VERY wet. I'm not sure many grounds would have coped completely with the amount of rain that night, but it was almost a swimming pool at times. Bloody good game considering the conditions.

I watched Sea Eagles v the Bunnies. Very odd game. Manly were MILES better in the first forty and turned around a fair amount up, then Souths really improved second half and Manly got sloppy, and I thought a close finish might be in prospect. Interception try put that idea in the bin and Manly held on quite comfortably.

Looking at the current composition of the 8, none of the top four would fancy playing any of the 5-8 teams. Brisbane seem to never know they are beaten and keep churning out comeback wins against top sides, the Chooks are very hot and cold and hot they are lethal, Dolphins either concede fifty or score fifty and look like the best attacking side on the planet, and Penrith are Penrith. it is also very congested just behind the dolphins in 8th.

A way to go, but the playoff footie looks like it will be very tasty this year.

I was on the telly in the main room so it was channel 9. So two fairly shit sides AND gus... I have Stan downstairs so could have watched any choice of match but someone else was using that set.

Time to settle down for Origin III.

I fully expect the Blues to not be as poor as they were in the first half of game 2 and to win by about 20 points. I live in hope for the Maroons but suspect it will be a forlorn hope.

Been a good week in the town I live as we are right on the state border so loads of supporters of both sides among the populace.
