Save Grassroots Petition

Good morning everyone, and a happy new year to you all.

Some of you may have seen the @savegrassroots account on Twitter to force the Premier League, through broadcasting fees, to properly back grassroots football. Costs of everything are going up every year and local governments can no longer fund it.100,000 people hung up their boots in 2013 alone.

Kids aren't born into academies, they have to start somewhere.

I have signed it, but it should be recognised that the FA itself has made a major investment in grassroots football. Over the last five years all County Associations have received funding that is designated solely for grassroots football.
