Would presume so as they have renewed (wanted it or not)

I wonder what the clubs target is for renewals by the 8th and what % will be classed as a concern

A lot of folk hold off right until the end, thats what I have done before and you also get people wanting to pop the charge on their credit card after their latest statement has been raised

Just had this email

"In just over a week since the season ticket renewal period began, half of all season ticket holders have now renewed their seat for the 2022/23 season, making this the second fastest season ticket renewal since the club’s promotion to the Premier League in the 2018/19 season"
Same email. I don't believe them.

2018: We'd got promoted, nearly everyone would have signed straight back up, indeed a fair proportion actively signed up in January to guarantee it if we got to the PL
2019: We'd just made Europe, who realistically walked away at that point
2020: Didn't even happen
2021: No sod had been able to do anything for 18 months. So yes we'll pay whatever, even though your price rise is a disgrace and your messaging is worse

It's a lie, or at best skewed by auto-renewals.

They're getting worried. If they were comfortable that people would walk away and the mythical waiting list would take care of it then they wouldn't contact me. They don't give a shit about me. In fact they'd hope I don't renew, someone buys my seat at a much higher price than I'm being quoted, and if I ever want to come back I have to pay a higher price too down the line.

I actually do hope the cartoon "this is fine, what do you expect, you can't run a top six club on a Championship income" reaction on Twitter etc was the real outlier and actually people see it for what it is. The club taking the piss, and the team are rubbish to watch.

I'm currently at 60/40 Yes if we sack Lage and don't appoint someone who's obviously a joker and going to fail. 90/10 No if he's still manager on 8th June. I am very unlikely to want to pay to watch his football ever again.

They've not renewed as such as they can contact the club until the 8th saying they don't want to so shouldn't really be included in those numbers

Shouldn't but will. Standard marketing spin really as until they say no thank you they will be classed as renewed. No real need to even say numbers at this point though because you are not going to think "shit if I dint renew someone will nick my seat" or "what am I missing that 11000 have seen to be so keen, I'm in again just in case". Only benefit is a positive headline in local paper but that means nowt.
Will guess those who have got auto renewed there will only be a small % who tell the club to do one.

Basing the increases for new season tickets last year we could see some truly insane pricing for new season tickets for 22/23.

Last season renewal and (new season ticket cost)

SB/NB 549 (622)
Steve Bull 643 (729)
Billy Wright Lower 553 (627)
BW Wings 688 (780)
BW Centre 733 (830)

If you apply the same gaps between the cost of renewing and the cost for a new ticket new applicants will be looking at:

SB/NB 590 (663)
Steve Bull 686 (772)
Billy Wright centre 786 (883)

Because they've been so cloak and dagger/cowardly about releasing the pricing (still nothing on you know, the clubs website)I haven't found prices for the Billy Wright wings or lower

If there's a low take up on renewals I can see them reducing the gap between current and new tickets and that might start rubbing existing up that their loyalty is being taken for granted.

They recorded all this Ask Wolves stuff some time ago. Not released yet (it was out well before the end of last season, before we sacked Nuno). I wonder if there's some frantic editing or re-recording being done.

Dubbing over the word 8th with 9th probably...

BW lower (adult) is £599 to renew for next season

I assume most/all on here have renewed, despite being unhappy?

Nope. Not yet anyway.

Nothing has really changed, still about 70/30 on not renewing. If we sacked Lage the chances would increase, but it doesn't look like we are doing that.

We're just £83 less than Liverpool.

Seems reasonable....
This is where the supply and demand argument falls down. Liverpool could realistically charge whatever they want, they're legitimately one of the best teams in the world and have a proper global fanbase so even if no-one with a Liverpool postcode ever attended, they'd still sell out every game. But they don't.

Southampton & Brighton seem expensive.

Think those £999 Southampton tickets are a tiny section in the grand scheme of things. Their prices behind the goal are about the same as ours.

Cheapest Saints ticket £399 and Brighton’s £545. So quite a bit cheaper, their stadiums are newer and I’m sure it’s more afluent area.
