It's ego, he was swinging at that no matter what the ball was rather than thinking he's already got 22 off the over and playing it on it's merits. Doing that when we were 6 down was even more stupid

Agreed. Degree of premeditation too. Don’t think he’s good enough to pick the delivery he’s just got good hand eye coordination and power. So he’s swinging at it and then a slower ball will completely do him. Whereas a good batsmen is swinging after they’ve seen what the delivery is. Admittedly easier to do that at 85mph than Nortje express 93mph
