Barnard has been a cracking signing.
Perfect county signing really. Someone who's just that little bit short of playing for England but can be relied on time after time domestically.

Although tbh I'd rather have him playing for England in ODIs than Overton or Curran.

That's a good win given the strength of Yorkshire's batting line up.5 of the top 6 have played for England, although randomly they have Bess opening.

Looks like Jordan Cox managed to injure himself, I imagine we'll use Dan Lawrence as the spare batsman (who will inevitably get sent back on Thursday morning) in that case, no other obvious candidates

Rohit Sharma retired from Test cricket

They've gone with James Rew, looks like Lawrence well and truly played himself out of the picture vs SL last year

Unless there’s a late injury he’s not going to play. If that scenario was to happen though would Jamie Smith keep the gloves?

You'd think so. We don't actually need a back up keeper though if Pope is around.

Jason Roy playing in the Championship tomorrow, first game for 5 years

Just bought a ticket for day 2 at TB for the Zimbabwe test.

Wasn’t interested at first but the £38 price tag has lured me in.

I'm glad that they've priced it reasonably, especially for U16's, as I don't think take up would be that great otherwise. Still plenty left though and clearly no one expects it to go beyond the third day as you can sit anywhere you want on Day 4 for about a tenner!

It pisses me off Bethell is in the IPL tbh. Think he owes Warwickshire another year or 2 before doing that
He’ll be back sooner than expected as the IPL has been suspended due to the India/Pakistan conflict.

Edit: maybe not as it’s only suspended for a week.
Tom Latham is fit again and plays against Surrey.

Kohli doesn't want to play Tests any more, the BCCI are pushing to have him play over here for one last series.

Losing Rohit, Pujara, Rahane, Ashwin and Kohli all in quick succession is a lot, Shami unlikely to play much more Test cricket too and Jadeja is 37 this year.

Gill looks favourite to get the Test captaincy but he only averages 35, he's a bit of an Indian Ollie Pope.

Remember when we picked Matt Fisher ahead of both Jimmy Anderson and Stuart Broad?

6 wickets at 61 apiece for Surrey so far

Looks like Warwickshire prepared a road whilst not playing a front line spinner. Part timer opening batter has bowled twice the overs of the 2nd and 3rd pace bowlers

Surrey currently on a 141 partnership for the final wicket with Ben Foakes on a career best.

Was he picked to hold up an end if England were 9 down and possibly facing a massive first innings deficit?
Asking for a disgruntled friend - Wesley from Warwickshire
