I’m all for being positive, but Brook does seem to have a penchant for recklessness.

He plays like he’s a bit thick at times it has to be said. Brilliant, obviously, but does a lot of very stupid things.

Bit annoyed work got in the way and I could only catch snippets during that last session but what a wonderful game of cricket. Superb run chase by England but India will be upset for twice getting in a position to shut the door and failing to do so. Not often you'll see 5 centuries for the losing team.

Seriously though, he could be so much better if he got out of the habit of hanging his bat so far away from his body. He has a beautiful cover drive and full credit to him for his part in that opening partnership that set the game up for victory.

Windies got a couple of shockers in their first innings - Chase got an lbw where you could actually see the ball deviate off the inside edge but because the tech didn’t show a spike it was ignored.
