Reality is once this ball is 20+ overs old then batting becomes a lot easier

It’s really stupid, just see out until lunch. But no,no play a daft shot and put a new batsmen in with 10 minutes to bat out.
They’ve tried to put themselves on in a position where India can’t chase them but what they’ve done is almost lost the game in 2 hours.

Can't see that it would do any harm to drop Crawley and put Bethell or Smith in to open. Ideally Smith to open with Bethell at three and get shot of Pope as well.

I like to think so but I don't have much faith in our bowling attack to create as much pressure as India.

We miss a really good spinner which would help compensate for the mediocrity of our seam attack.

Yeah even if one bowler is having a good spell they’re not backed up by another doing a similar job at the other end so it allows the opposition rest bite.
Stokes is being forced to bowl way more than he should also.
