A team would be mad to pay €20m based on one good season after a number of average to poor loans and being clearly not fit for purpose in the PL. They also aren't paying him is £80kpw so we'd have to pay him up a couple of million too I'd have thought.

I’m on a bit of a ‘Mir-athon’ of late, but he’s useful comparison for people getting too excited. Scored 13 in La Liga for a poor but punchy club that went down in 18th, so Fabio is on a course to replicate that. If we could get a few mill from someone in need of an option like him to placate fans and warm the bench we’d have done well. Anyway, people should be about as excited about his potential as they were for Rafa 4 years ago.

Depends on the clauses in his contract as well. If the release clause becomes 'active' when the transfer window opens then we're under no pressure to allow that deal to happen at a timeline which suits them. We'll have 5 or 6 clubs willing to meet the £62.5M in the summer.
