The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Wolves have had an offer accepted for Bristol City teenager and Wales U16 international Ashton Williams. #wwfc #BristolCity

Apparently we have nicked him due to us being a Cat1 academy and them only being Cat2. Under whats called the Elite Player Performance Plan (EPPP). and means Cat1 clubs can go and sign Cat2 youngsters at short notice for something like £3000 per year the player has been there.

I'm sure YoungWolf will know more about this.

they changed the training compensations a couple of years ago as all the big clubs have become more aggressive in buying the top Cat 2/3 players due to not being able to sign foreign players til 18.

More likely Wolves have negotiated a fee separately (more than the compensation figures).

Borussia Dortmund in for Fábio Silva. €18M.

Hilarious. Their fans will hate him as much as the Rangers fans did.

Hopefully we sell him early, that €18M + the £62.5M from Cunha should mean we can do some of our own business earlier in the window than we usually do.

He’s 22 and just had a good season for a terrible team in La Liga. Whatever we think of him I can see why clubs are interested. Seems like a good fee and I’m sure there are add ons clauses in case he kicks on there

Amazing what a season can do. A year ago we couldn't give him away

Apologies if I've missed it - Ornstein has tweeted that Man City are close to signing RAN and that "all parties now expect the move to happen".

We're gonna need some rebuild.

Yeah, losing your top scorer and top assister isn't exactly ideal. You'd hope City fork out a huge bag of cash, at least.

Have to hope this is the last sale (from the 1st team).

Guess RAN will push for this move and not a lot we can do other than get a decent fee (minus the extra we have to pay to his former club).

The good news - at least - is that it should be big money if City are involved.
Last deal with City we accepted Doyle and Beuno as part of the deal. Would like to avoid similar unless they are offering Dias and Haaland

I admire your optimism
