The Wolfe - Hope he does well thread

Loved that “wow” when he was walking around Molineux.

Got a big old Wolf tattoo on his arm. Our marketing/social media team are going to love him.

Also, petition to change JSL’s name to Jørgen Scout Larsen, as he appears to be doing all the work for the recruitment team!

Be interested to know the ‘project’ that he believes in. Maybe there is a master plan afterall

I reckon he may have picked the same wolf image for his tattoo as me. Which at the time was the first result on Google :ROFLMAO:

Sounds like this guy could be a really smart signing, quite experienced for his age, fits the physical profile Vítor seems to want from his wing backs and at a lowish price.

Lots of work still to be done of course but every signing we get done at this stage lessens the pressure on what looks like it could be a mad dash at the end of the window.

Seems like he won't be involved in Girona tomorrow unless we're flying him out this morning so probably get to see him for the first time against Celta.

"Just saw that Wolverhampton Wanderers are set to sign AZ Alkmaar’s left-back David Møller Wolfe, SK Brann academy graduate. He’s been one of the standout full-backs in the Eredivisie over the past ~3 seasons, so a move to a top league felt inevitable. And here it is.

While he’s not quite as unpredictable or attack-minded in the final third as Aït-Nouri, Wolfe brings a more measured, composed presence down the flank. He’s not a high-volume crosser or shooter, but when he does deliver, it’s usually with more accuracy and intent. More of a possession-safe operator than a flair-driven risk taker, but still contributes consistently in the attacking phase. Needs to work on his right foot though, turns to his left too much. But system-wise suits a team that’ll face a tough Premier League season.

The Norwegians’ a very effective ball carrier and thrives in overlapping runs, especially when paired with an inverted winger (or a wide 10 as in Wolves’ system) though he’s also capable of inverting and supporting midfield build-up when needed. Tactically disciplined and structurally sound, he offers a good pausa and accurate long balls to switch sides, great for Wolves’ counters.

In the defensive end Wolfe’s got excellent spacial awareness, aerial ability, and a strong physical presence. He reads the game well, uses his body smartly, and is dominant in 1v1 defensive duels. His engine is top-tier, you’ll get a full 90-minute shift from him every time

A full international with Norway, the 23-year old brings solid experience and leadership. Really composed and mature playstyle on the ball himself. Makes the right decisions in tight moments, doesn’t shy away from physical battles, and won’t let tricky wingers toy around. Makes fouls when needed, fuck around, find out. Does get some cards though. He’s got that dawg.. or Wolfe.. in him. Ok sorry.

Anyways, having been the direct successor to Milot Kerkez at AZ, Wolfe now gets his own chance to make an impact in England. A smart, hard-working full-back who could prove to be a very shrewd addition for Wolves."

Definitely does sound promising
