Hello, I wanted to know what kind of work is being done at Molineux, whether it's an expansion or a renovation. Being Spanish, I've seen the brave men in raincoats on TV, and I don't see any information online about what's being done, except that an expansion/renovation is planned, but it seems to be on hold.
Thank you and best regards.

That’s some faith in Google Translate you’ve got there.

How come you put the thread up in English and the post in Spanish?

There has been talk for years about the Steve Bull stand getting replaced, but it’s not happening at the moment. It’s the oldest in the ground, the one you see on camera opposite the manager dug-outs.
I think that the raincoats you mention are in an opposite corner, it’s a “temporary” uncovered stand that has been there for years, filling in the corner between the South Bank and the Billy Wright stand. It’s horrible to be in, you can’t see the South Bank goal, and if it rains you get wet.

Yes but those 300 seats are only £550 for a season ticket. Good for benchmarking! (:-.

Art least if we go down my South Bank season ticket might come down from £735.

Nobody will invest in Molineux whilst it's leased from the council.

Coincidentally, I was in hospitality yesterday a few doors away from Wolverhampton Council's permanent box.

It's a complete mystery to me why the council would not want to sell the ground back to the club

Change that to 'Fosun' won't invest whilst it's leased from the council. Sir Jack did, Steve Morgan did.

Football is significantly different to when Morgan half arsed the redevelopment. For one, P&L rules will significantly impact investment. It would be folly to invest in an asset not owned by the club - you'd in effect be throwing away sustainability wriggle room, no matter how much cash you have.

The lease is long term on a peppercorn rent, if they sold it back to whatever temporary owner is in charge there is a risk that those owners would sell the ground and move out of the city. I think, but not certain, that the club own the playing surface which means the council can't sell the ground easily either.

I don't think stadium or training ground improvement costs "count" in psr calculations

my understanding was the council lease Molineux to wolves, and if we go back to the 80s with terrible owners and nearly go out of business those owners can’t sell the land for hundreds of millions for housing, the council ensure we have a football club even if we end up in the Ford transit West Midlands league 3, we have a stadium
