Two really poor first touches by Watkins and Ings have let Liverpool of the hook here.

He’s one of those refs that does the PL no favours when it’s accused of favouring the bigger clubs or when people cry foul play amongst officials

Thought Villa played quite well, Liverpool seemed quite sluggish by their standards, resorted to some shithousing at the end.

Would Luton be the smallest club to play in the Premier League if they come up?

Given their time in the top league in the 80's including winning the League Cup, I'd put them above Blackpool, Barnsley and Brentford when they came up

They were decent in the 80s and I think made an FA Cup final in the 60s.

Still Bournemouth I think as they were always perennial nobodies. Wimbledon and Swindon other than that.

And Bradford City

Luton were quite decent in the old Division One in the 80s on their plastic pitch, pre-Premier League with a few decent players including Bridgnorth's own David Preece RIP

Yep oddly I always think of Luton as a top flight team, and err Wimbledon that cup win cemented them. Strange how the time your born can effect your views of teams.

Some other poor buggers must think the same of Wigan...
