I see the UK government have said no to a Monetary Union with Scotland.
King Alex, and Princess Nicola, are calling the UK government Bullies, despite insisiting that

A monetary union exists on their terms
EU membership on their terms
Nato membership on their terms

They are now saying they will take none of the debt.

Meanwhile in the real world, a 7 year old English born school girl is told to fuck off back to her own country in a school debate at a school in Fife, where the teachers accept the comment, only for past Prime minister Brown who was attending the debate to say it was un called for.

It is getting fraught, nasty, and racist.
The SNP need this campaign run against a backdrop of anti English Racist rhetoric, it is the only way they can win the vote. It's why they chose 2014, a world cup, and commonwealth games year.

I don't understand why the pop at Gideon? He hasn't put any scare stories about, he just took a position of 'no, you can't be in a monetary union with the rest of the UK if you leave the UK' seems fair enough to me. Look at the Euro for a bunch of countries not in a cohesive fiscal union being in a total mess when they have the same currency.

What will happen to the RBS, Salmond said Scotland could not have bailed them out, it's supposed to be the Scottish Bank, and yet is owned by the UK tax payer.
Given the UK will not enter a Sterling zone with them.
If they say no to Debt, they will not get in the EU, as Spain and the UK will vote no.

Why should Scotland answer to the English Treasury, they are well capable of looking after a national budget in suplus, North Sea and whisky exports.

The very fact they want a monetary union, means they have to answer to the UK treasury.
It's not up to the people in this case it's up to the government to do what is best for the UK economy, and handing over a slice of the decisions to a foreign ower, is why they refused the Euro in the first place.

It's also why the UK economy is growing faster than the Euro Zone

No credibility and a piss poor credit rating will devalue any currency, businesses will leave in their droves that are not geographically anchored (which they've already said). And if they take none of the existing UK national debt they will have no credibility as a government and would cease to have any weight in Europe, which they would have to negotiate to get into. Not really a good reason to go with a new currency is it?

Why not?

1, The cost of actually setting up the basis on which to trade £scot, even the SNP are saying we cannot do it.
2.Very dangerous to have our largest trading partner (England) with a different currency, this will result in a overhead cost to all systems having to be changed to multi currency.
3, The cost to all financial institutes, to handle this change, they will not pay for it, you and I will.

Spain will say no, because of there own Catalan, and Basque issues, UK will say No because they renaged on their debt, every member state must say yes to new members, 1 bock it, and I fully expect Spain to be really voiciferous in stopping them

Absolutely, the SNP know without monetary Union they're done for and all the ruling parties know this too, which is why there will be a NO vote.
