The Oscillating Wildly Thread

Made me sad reading this mate, I respect your personal life choices as we all do, but just know there's an audience for well-written, detailed and human writing with a personality and point of view.

I think you do yourself a disservice when you say you're not good enough to do it, but you know what your life needs right now.

Talent isn't everything, sometimes circumstance or our own demons conspire to block our path. Hope you find peace mate, whether that includes writing or not

Yup echo the others, as a side note I linked your blog to someone from the football Ramble forum once, they wanted niche/specific fan club sites that were interesting and more in depth on specific clubs, and they loved yours.

I agree with everyone else. I really enjoy your writing and feel that it's of excellent quality, and always look forward to you being able to write another.

However, you're right. Your mental health comes first, and always should. I join others in hoping that your health improves enough that you would be able to return to writing in the future.

And I was about to offer you an updated version of my old The Last Day blog for its 10th anniversary in May! How far our journey has been since then...

Thanks again for all the nice messages, I'm definitely not in a position to do anything right now but I will try to have at least one last go before chucking it away for good.

I have got a real problem with trying to make everything perfect (which is impossible), I know that.

Great to see your back 👍

Missed the incisive analysis - although it’s a guest blog.

Hopefully more to come 👌

Great to hear you’re feeling better, I can’t imagine what you’ve had to go through, given it’s been the shittiest 18 months ever for most of us.

I thought I was mentally strong, but even I’m on medication now - more to do with settling my anger, given my utter contempt for the political class (all parties) and bureaucrats in this fucking country that’s tearing itself apart.

Let‘s hope the team can bring some cheer to us . . . Christ we need it.

I'm going out for the afternoon with the woman who has fixed the lot. Then I'll write about what I've been through. It's not nice, but it might give youse all a bit of an insight into what I've been through.

And if I've been a cunt to any of you over the last year or so, I'm sorry.

Not that I'm writing at the moment (I sort of plan to again soon, still moving house at present though so not got the time to do it properly, and I simply can't half-arse it) but the current site will be closing at the end of the month (too expensive basically for something I don't monetise and can't predict when I'll even use) and everything has moved here:

So if you're daft enough to have me bookmarked, change it to there.

Also posting in here so the thread doesn't get purged :D

'Dead eyed fucking prick' :D

Talk about not pulling your punches...

Good read, although made me shudder once or twice remembering those pre-Nuno days...

I absolutely could not stand Doherty around then (I hid it well). Two stone overweight and didn't even try to defend. Every post match was like this.

How Nuno got a tune out of him (in the world's most bespoke role) will forever amaze me.

One of those games where we put considerably more time and effort to travel over for it than the team put in on the pitch.
I remember it got moved to a Friday night (Sky?) and we couldnt get a Friday flight over so we had to re-book on the ferry and take the chugger from Holyhead and it only had 2 carriages and was absolutely packed all the way from Wales to Wolverhampton.

The game was awful. I remember being behind the goals watching how well organised Kusziak was at set-pieces and wondering why Ikeme wasnt like that. And the Blues fans ripping out seats in the Steve Bull lower. And then we couldnt find a restaurant to eat in cos everywhere was booked out as it was Friday night. A shite night all round.

I was in Dublin that weekend...even the €30 a round was better than attending that game

"Nouha Dicko: We just have to hope this sets him off on a run of scoring, "

Alas, it was not to be :(

Facebook Memories has dredged up my 2016/17 player reviews. Great days.

I probably should start writing again. Maybe.
