The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Andre and Gomes are quite young , and are both highly rated . Lemina was not a young player then and his career suggested that he was no near the same level of rating that they other two have , and his temperament was questioned in the past - we needed serious back up for him . Listen ,I'm not...

In terms of a back up midfielder to Andre and Gomes - what top midfielder , who might cost 25-20 million will come to us and realise that they are just back up to the other two lads , and will therefore spend most of the season warming the bench ? If Bellegarde is the back up and Munetsi - then...

The Summer 2025 Transfer Window Thread

Logged in late yesterday evening after a very busy day at work . Started at page 198 , suddenly I got really excited.......another new player , a defender this time , cue reading three/four more pages . Getting very upbeat now at this point . Then , half way down page 205 I got hit with a Mike...

I'm struggling to think of what club would take Sasa on loan , given his injury problems . It's a huge risk and would have to involve us paying a fair chunk of his wages I would think . It's not as if he once was a prolific striker and some Manager out there wants to re create that .

Conan could get into that back row yet . Ringrose is out of the first test . Aki will start too regardless

Both Kinghorn and Keenan are fit , both were late joining up with the squad and are good full backs .

He always had far too much to say , which is grand when you're winning , but when the losing streak sets in it becomes a moan every week .

    The Football News Thread 2024/25

John Giles retired from football punditry yesterday at the ripe old age of 84 . He had spent years as a pundit with RTE , as well as writing weekly columns on the print media . He then left RTE and joined up with a new Football show called ' Off the Ball ' on Newstalk and had a weekly slot on...

    The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2024/25

Last Sunday morning Damien Duff resigned as Manager of Shelbourne . Duff was always box office and to be fair was very good for the League of Ireland . He raised its profile , not all by himself clearly , but by raising the standard of Shelbourne he brought another competitive Dublin team to...

I don't really have any interest is us signing Harvey Elliot . If Liverpool are moving him on , and he never nailed down a first team spot , then why would he shine for us ? I just don't see it with him - open to being proven wrong , but I'd be looking elsewhere - and being English he will cost...

I like that jersey . I am a fan of a collar I have to say . Nice smattering of black on the collar and sleeves , which sometimes we didn't bother with in the past .
