Bellend commentators

Not only has Cyril Knowles not played football for 45 years, he's been dead for 30 years too.

Even by Garth's standards this is bizarre stuff.

Don't think we have a 'good commentators' thread, but good to hear Seb Hutchinson on sky, very good

The bloke who did the Tae Kwondo at the Olympics. Most Eurosport cycling comms bar Sean Kelly. There are good comms out there.

Rte had a bloke doing the commentary of the basketball at the Olympics who was far more entertaining then the games themselves whilst still on the right side of that fine line where you knew he was passionate about the sport.

Just read that again. 10 years later still the same (fucking hell remember it first time around), nobody touches Barry Davies or Bill McLaren.

Who’s the complete tool that does the show on Sunday between 1800-2100 with Darren Bent and Darren Ambrose?

Alex Crook?
That’s him an absolute arrogant prat, he was sniping at Neves after the game today about him moaning after the game and claiming it was a non foul. Didn’t mention however Fernandes get booked for dissent. Oh and he’s a Man Utd fan

Garth Crooks. Pogba in his team of the week. And Neves has a cheek to go down as he did. Fucking cunt.

Sycophantic media again pandering to the masses, a lot of media on Twitter have stayed silent on the Pogba challenge yesterday knowing they’d be subject to a load of abuse from Man Utd fans.
Look I understand the media coverage the bigger clubs get that’s just natural as they create bigger stories.
But assessing games at least do it fairly similar to last week certain media outlets making out Spurs should have won by more.

Neves did go down in a very delayed, laboured fashion, despite the contact. Cleared the ball, stood there, turned to look at the ref and then did a little forward roll. It just didn't look natural at all, very contrived and sometimes you're worse doing that than nothing at all.

But using the word cheek implies Garth thinks he cheated. Which is fucking bollocks.

Well he definitely didn't fall that way as a natural result of the contact, so I guess it is simulation to some extent.

Just read his comments says Pogba won the ball er no he didn’t then in the next sentence says if he’d gone down he’d have got the free kick. So he’s saying he’s got the cheek to go down after a couple of steps but advocating to go down easy? Go figure
Don’t know how someone can put in so many contradictions in such a small bit of writing.

I don't think there was any simulation or looking to the ref first. He got caught enough on the shin for it to hurt and he looked up to the ref as he grimaced and went down. It's not like he deliberately waited.
