Best holiday destinations

Right then you well travelled bastards...

Looking for recommendations for countries/cities to visit next year for my officially old enough to wear Skechers celebration trip.

Was planning on a Chicago - Niagra Falls - Boston road trip but uneasy on the US at the moment and NY this summer could be my last trip for a while that way.
Not interested in sitting by a pool all day, like to get out and about.
Really can't pin anywhere at the moment. Did think of a Vietnam/Thailand trip but can't convince myself on that.

India! An experience like no other.

Personal favourite is Zanzibar, could combine it with a safari on the mainland.

See Zanzibar and instantly think of a shit nightclub in Stafford

Estonia away from Tallinn is just gorgeous, if you like walking in the woods and chilling on beaches, Parnu if you want a bit more excitement.
Sigisoara in Romania, medieval walled citadel, birthplace of vlad the impala, found the place by accident on my bike ride of Eastern Europe a decade ago, it’s one of my favourite places, just up the road from Bran which is supposed to be draculas castle inspiration for the films, all of Transylvania is great tbh

One of my friends has been to Sighioara, ace place for some peace and quiet apparently. Looked lovely from the photos I've seen.

It is, and pretty much undiscovered, don’t know if they still do it, when you go into the room Vlad was born in, there’s a coffin in there and a bloke dressed as Dracula in a tuxedo with a cape sits up stretches his arms out and does the laugh

Don't be put off by all the hyperbole and b/s going on with politics. The US is still a great place to visit for a holiday. There have been some issues with air pollution at the moment in Chicago but Niagra and Boston are always great places to visit. If you tag on Maine instead of Chicago, you'll have a lovely trip.

Been to the US a fair bit...love the place and loads of places on my wishlist.

Hyperbole/BS or whatever, it just doesn't feel like a place i want to explore right now.
Might change after July when I am there but always worth getting other people's views on places worth seeing.

My youngest got back from the States yesterday. He was telling me that the cost of eating out and such has gone up significantly from this time last year.

I am prepared for NY and the prices. Been quite a jump since my last visit.

Where in the states has he been?

No doubt about it, it has. Waffle House is even charging an extra 50 cents per egg!

When I first started visiting the States, eating out was extremely affordable and that was one thing that attracted us. Like everything else, covid hit home and then we have the idiot that is Trump making things very uncertain at the minute.
