Board Game recommendations

2 recently released board games that might appeal to some folk, though I think they could be fairly complex games. Mass Effect looks great, but it is a campaign style game with multiple scenarios and stories.

I've not done a recommendation for a while so thought I'd share one for a game that we picked up at UK Games Expo. It's called Forest Shuffle and it's a pretty simple card game with absolutely loads of choices and combos that make it a lot of fun, all about creating a wildlife ecosystem.of trees and animals. You could easily play this game with youngsters, probably 8-10+.

You can do 1 of 2 things each turn: draw 2 cards or play 1 card. Draw cards from the deck or from a central area (the clearing), or play a card into your tableau by paying the cost of the card with other cards in your hand, which go into the clearing. Add trees and animals to your forest by playing the cards to score points. That's the basics, but if you like thinking ahead and strategy there is loads of potential. Lovely artwork too.
