Wolves 1-1 Brighton: Verdict Thread

Okay, there are many who are criticising Vitor for his decisions and subs, blaming him directly.
As far as I know when a manager gets sent off..
He has to leave the technical area completely and instantly. he cant hang around in the tunnel
He can't go to the dressing room at half time.
He cant communicate in any way (phone, radio, etc) from his position in the stand to anyone in the technical area
So I can't believe, they have a strategy, ' y'know, in case i get sent off here, this is what I want you to do." kind of thing.

So WHO is making the decisions, and is it fair to blame Vitor directly?

We got 25 in 2011/12 and we're nothing like that bad.

We're in trouble, there's a real chance we'll go this year, arguably we deserve to with how we've chosen to run the club since 2020 but we're nowhere near as bad as you say we are.

Points return suggests otherwise, yes you can say it’s identical to last season but we had a better squad.
You could argue we’ve had an easier set of fixtures than last season this season so far.
We’ve had a good spread of fixtures so far and not won yet.
The three promoted this season are more equipped than last season also.
Until we start to win games I won’t budge on the fact that this group will pick up our lowest points total in the PL era.

I mean we aren't a great side but we've probably about 0.1xG away from being 17th. To suggest we are 20 points bad is a bit ridiculous IMO. I think we're one good attacker away from being a decent side, but that attacker doesn't play for us currently and won't until January at the very earliest.

So you think we are worse than Ipswich and Leicester from last season?

That’s 20 games in minimum, and what quality are attracting mid season to us?
If we end up getting 23/24 points and people want to come back and say “told you so” then be my guest for the sake of 4/5 points if it gives you some vanity.
No clean sheet this season less than a GPG and averaging 2 goals against. Only lead once at halftime all season. As said until we win are start picking regular points there’s little evidence to suggest my prediction is far fetched, I’ll happily take the ridicule and passive aggressive comments happily.

As we sit here today we’ve not proved we’re better, yep it may change.
To add the 3 that came up this year will offer far more to the league than the 3 last year did meaning less winnable points on offer.
As just much a case of whether the bottom the league is as weak or stronger than last season.
Whilst things have looked more organised recently we still won’t hurt teams enough going forward to win enough points, again the quality drop of is huge.

I mentioned it on the matchday thread and I actually dislike singling out our players but Jackson Tchatchoua is fucking awful.

Who on earth scouted him? I don't think he has a single positive attribute to his game. And I include his speed - there has been no occasion when I've thought his supposed pace has benefitted the side. You'd think a pacy full back would work, give us an extra outlet, reduce the workload for the midfield but he doesn't appear to understand how to play football. Several times I saw Joao Gomes look visibly frustrated when he was looking for an outlet on the right and this clown is 20 yards further back, oblivious to the fact we're trying to build an attack.

His eventual distribution and crossing is rubbish, he makes so many daft errors, he switches off constantly (I blame him for losing 2 points more than Vitor - maybe the ball was already out but why go for it in the first place? But to then completely switch off when Brighton took a short corner was even worse).

He's appalling - absolutely miles away from the quality we need and the downgrade from Semedo to Tchatchoua is alarming. It's like swapping a pint of Bathams for a can of Fosters.

He’s weird, he played well when he came on last game. At least he has pace, Wolfe seems to have absolutely nothing.

It's an appalling error.

I'd still play him ahead of Doherty though.

I’d play Mosquera is we’re going 4 at the back - I’d rather play Hoever than Jackson.

Stick R Gomes on the left, H Bueno is also shite.

The very fact that none of us agree on who should be playing, shows us where our squad is……

It’s largely shit.

Our right back is shit, our left back is shit and our best defender from last year is shit.

We have two central midfielders in our entire squad. Fuck knows what we do if anything happens to those.

Two of our three starting forwards today are shit.

On the plus side, Krejci looks fucking excellent.
