Would possibly expect 1 incoming forward to assist in Jan (though we are not there yet so have to go with what we have) & it will probably be a short term solution depending on Raul's prognosis.

No ideas as to who that should be though.

No problem with Silva playing as long as we don’t expect him to win any headers, he can occupy them and provide movement and lay offs with ball to feet. Do we really think Podence will do any better centrally when he’s half their height?

Keep the ball on the ground & their height doesn't help them - if they go to head the ball he's about their midriff

We'll run rings around them once we get into their box, just need to improve our diving ;)

I reckon it’ll be the return of the pizza and pasta fan.

I think we should begin with the team that started the 2nd half against Chelsea, providing there's no injury problems.

Also agree Rondon could be useful, both as a targetman and dangerous in the box..Huntelaar is a much better goalscorer though ;)

We need someone who can move their huge lumbering CBs out of position for Neto and Podence to exploit. Silve seems to have good awareness and movement to do that but he's gonna have to watch his back or he'll be getting clattered through.

Mee and Tarkowski aren't even that big, Fabio is taller than the pair, just gangly. It's their tenacity and willingness to get really tight which gives them the rep.

Doenst't matter an inch or so, he will get bullied by them

Couldn't see Dendoncker on the training video

No doubt Silva will struggle against their physicality but we can't just hide him away from that, hopefully his other attributes will help him against them. The fact is, we have no alternative, he has to start and we have to trust Nuno to manage that situation. Trying to shoe horn people like Traore, Podence or Neto into that position won't solve anything and will also negate their strengths.

I'm not suggesting he doesn't start and nor am i attributing the following directly to it, but it is a fact that the score was 0-1 when he left the pitch on Tuesday

It could be important in his development in England. Jota used to get kicked a lot and went down rolling around but he soon learned that challenges were normal and he could be more aggressive himself.
