Sat outside a bar in Alvor and those words about his kids set me off
I also had a drink for Diogo in Alvor this afternoon.

The first thing the taxi driver in the airport said to me when we got in was “have you heard the news?” We’d not even mentioned football before then.

You were in Alvor too??

I'm glad it's not just me who feels like this today. Absolutely devastated, I feel like I've lost a mate, but I never met the guy.

Appalling start to the day, I've been wanting to say I'm quite upset but I'm really upset, been tearful all day whenever left with my own thoughts.

You aren’t alone at all in this mate

Definitely.not just you, I've been on and off all day. He was a special, integral member of the team of many of our lifetimes, and he gave us moments of unbridled joy. He was a cracking young man with a beautiful young family and the world at his feet. It's utterly tragic and heartbreaking.

It's normal for us to be grieving his loss. He brought a lot to our lives and we will miss him now in a much more full way

I don't think I've ever felt like this about any sportsperson.

Even with Sir Jack it was mainly just a feeling of thanks for everything that he did for us.

This is just so unfair.
Sir Jack lived a long and fulfilled life. Jota was a young man with his whole life ahead of him, no wonder everyone is devastated.

I was thinking, is this the first time a current player with strong Wolves connections has died?

We had Matija, but obviously their playing legacies are a world apart.

Oh true yes, about the same time last year too

Ah yes, another one. So sad

Not strong connections as he never quite made an appearance for us (was on the bench a fair few times) but Lee Collins too.

Have something to make you smile. Diogo smashing not just Villa (and a goal line camera), but Steve Bruce's Villa with John Terry as captain into tiny little pieces.
