Diogo Jota.

Yep, absolutely. I never forgot that.

He came off with ripped socks and a cut eye, but 100% the winner in ability and being the gnarliest bloke on the pitch.
Blues' behaviour that night got Alfred N'Diaye angry.

Seemed quite a mild-mannered, gentle guy in general, but that showed that you do NOT want to make him angry.

Ref evened up the bottling out of the red card with him.

It was such basic bollocks from some of the managers at that level "these foreign types won't like it if you get stuck and they will hide away"

No actual scouting of what we were about.

That was the same night some knobrot commentator on Sky (can't remember who so I'm just going to blame Garry Birtles, the beardy prick) mused on whether our Portuguese lads would fancy it in the cold.

It was colder in Porto than Birmingham that night.

There was that clip someone put together of the various pundits dismissing them and the "let's see how they get on in the winter or a Tuesday night at Millwall"

Another one here. Probably not a season saver (we had too much quality to be in trouble in the long run) but we were winless in the first five and coming off a home shellacking vs Frank Lampard's Chelsea. And we're 1-0 down at Selhurst, and I fucking hate Selhurst Park.

Cue Diogo in the 95th minute.

Never give up.

We then didn't lose again in the league until the middle of December.

After seeing the Neves goal at Hull again *must not mock @Jinky *

I guess I shouldn’t be shocked, but still. His wife at the mortuary being “printed”, as it were, feels such a violation of his family’s privacy.

Violating families privacy in times of sadness is what a portion of our press do best unfortunately. They actively revel in it.

Imagine being the photographer and not have the moral fortitude to realise how fucked up it is.
Not sure I can, other than to vaguely gesture at rent and mortgages.

Gotta get them clicks… 😡

Me too, in fact it's affected me more this morning after reading that.
Maybe I'll read it later then. After I've done my chores which require meeting people...

I have a naturally happy looking face, my wife has a pernafrown lol, it's her default face - people constantly asking her if she's okay, she's fine but just looks slightly pissed off...

No one ever asks if I'm okay, as is my demeanor, three people stopped me at work yesterday to ask if I was alright, must have been written all over my face. Still can't believe it.

I feel selfish feeling sorry myself, I feel I need to snap out of it, feel sorry for those most affected, but at the same time it's quite cathartic to offload this somewhere, so it's here.

I think we're all affected mate because we love our club and we appreciate someone all the more who for all his time here, evidently loved the club back (as well as being brilliant).

My way of getting through it has been to watch back all the superb moments he produced and talking about them. Don't be sad it's over, be glad it happened.
