Diogo Jota.

Liverpool’s squad and staff paid their respects to Diogo Jota and Andre Silva at Anfield today, alongside members of the brothers’ family including Diogo’s wife, Rute.

After consultation with his wife, Rute, and family, Liverpool can announce the squad number will be retired in honour and memory of Diogo across all levels, including LFC Women and Academy.

As I was in the area at Parkrun this morning, I thought I'd stop by the ground to pay my respects. Quite a few people arrived after me to add to the ever increasing number of tributes to Diogo.

I found it very moving. To be perfectly honest, I've barely thought about the new season since this tragedy happened. I've got absolutely no motivation for it whatsoever.

Lovely to see so many tributes from loads of different clubs, not just us and Liverpool.

There was a huge pile on onto one of the commenters on there who was a Liverpool fan from London, saying we shouldn’t be honouring Jota as he wasn’t our player and we were disrespecting Liverpool by doing it.
Replies were as expected, and not just from wolves fans

Is that the same one as someone who is going to paint the Jota mural on a building in the city? He's starting a GoFundMe to raise money for the cherry picker and the paint required.

No, this is for a display before the City game.
