Background: he said he had a sore achilles last week and was the reason he was frustrated when subbed.

True or not, dont know but all part of transfer window fun and games.

We all know the narrative will be he isn't playing because he's going to be sold. Might as well brace ourselves.

At least we have great depth up top to come in...

So it's going to be Hwang again, isn't it?

Sa
Doherty Agbadou Toti
Jackson Andre Gomes Wolfe
Munetsi Hwang Arias
:sick::sick::sick:

Just stick Sasa up front and don't make him run around, hopefully he'll last the first half and we'll be 4-0 up.

Hwang or Munetsi as our options to start up top in an actual Premier League game in 2025. Some going.

By the time the world has woken up to the fact that Marshall Munetsi can’t actually play football, we’ll be in League 2 and back managed by Dean Saunders.

As this game has gotten closer I'm starting to feel quite negative about our chances today. No Strand Larsen is very discouraging, whether it's Hwang or Munetsi - they're not getting anything from the Everton CBs. Just throwing some amateurish body against two bog standard CBs, will be quite easy for them. Think Grealish is going to cause us a massive amount of problems. I'd take the point now.

Yeah, the final part of our informal pre-season screw up. All said and done though I’m more positive about when we finally get started later in September. All of it a mess of our own making, even the bits that appear to be simply happening to us.

I think it's always just been the mess that we already had rather than us messing the summer up.

Today will be tough given the absences and the squad essentially being 3 short at this stage anyway (I'm assuming Krejci won't start?). I'm far less pessimistic about the rest of the squad than others though, hopefully we can put in a good performance today.

Just makes a mockery of those who were happy to wait, or justifying why it was ok to wait until the last couple of days of the window to get the bulk of our business done. When those of us were “crying” earlier in the window or suggesting that we needed to be proactive and secure our targets earlier, this is exactly the reason why. Because we’re going to start with Hwang Hee-Chan or Marshal Munetsi up front. In the PL. In a competitive game.

To be slightly more positive, Hoever’s minor injury might be a blessing in disguise because Vítor’s probably going to have his hand forced in starting Jackson and at least he’ll offer us some pace and physicality going forward.

The reality is, on paper before the season started, we all probably had this one down as a home win, or a game we could seriously look to take points from. Now we’re here on the morning of the game and I can’t see anything other than a comfortable Everton win. Hopefully we get an early goal and can get something.
