Agreed. I'm all for the edging out of VAR, but it's weird doing it at this stage of the season.

Just watched a recording of MotD.
VAR: If it's not corruption I don't know what it is.
Total incompetence?

It's long overdue being binned off is what it is.

It's solved none of the problems it was meant to solve and it still delays games. One of the worst things to happen to the sport.
Ive thought it shit for a long time now, but that decision tonight is unbelievable.
Ive always laughed at the 'corrupt' conspiracy theorists but no-one else in the world looking at that thinks it touched any part of his arm.
Not to mention the amount of time.

What’s actually the justification for this taking 5 minutes last night? It’s probably the most obvious one I’ve seen. Johnstone actually would have saved it if he wasn’t there, whereas 99% of the other ones that are disallowed would have gone in regardless.

It’s almost impossible to work out anything from the fleeting footage shown on our tiny stadium screens. But that one was astonishingly clear - it’s baffling.

It was outrageous, but I wouldn’t assume that Johnstone would have saved it!!

Give a team one appeal against any decision each half. They keep it if they’re correct. This would have the added bonus of stopping constant complaining to the ref - if you think he’s wrong appeal it. We all know players claim every throw is theirs, all contact is a foul, they’ll soon learn the ref is correct a lot more often than they are.
