Farage Ltd and Similar Watch

I’d expect Labour, Conservative and Reform to get 25% of the vote each in the next GE with the rest divided amongst Green, LD etc.

How that will transfer into seats, I don’t know. But there certainly isn’t “no chance” they get a hefty dollop of seats.

I wouldn't disagree with that. But they aren't forming a Government.

I doubt the Tories will trouble the 25% mark if the current moron is still in charge.

The Tories would form a coalition with them if required. Why not? They've teamed up before.
If Reform do well enough to hit 25-30% of votes in a GE (we're a way off that being a reality) then the Tories will be reduced to virtually nothing. Their votes come from the same set of people.

They won't win enough to be outright winners and no-one worth anything will work with them in a coalition.

If you want to worry about it for four years then don't let me stop you.

Reform would need a lot more seats to be relevant, and their easiest way to that is cannibalising the Conservative vote

They are polling at around that rate and more now, and why do you think their support won't continue to grow?

The "blame foreigners" narrative has been rising and rising for years, and it's not as if Labour are fighting that narrative, they are actually agreeing with it. Which seems a totally stupid strategy - you're not going to get Reform voters to vote Laboue.

Not sure why you have to be so dismissive in your final sentence either.

Polling this far out from a GE means nothing.

UKIP won the most votes at European elections when we were still in the EU. Did they subsequently return many MPs, no.

I mean it just seems a pointless use of energy to me, they are not very likely to be the next Government for a long list of reasons, I personally would not want to use up nearly half a decade fretting about it.

It’s not just “stop the boats” people voting reform though. People had had enough of the Tories and Labour are making a dogs dinner of their gift wrapped election result. So unless the Tories sort themselves out then a lot of votes will end up going to…

Yeah, I'm from a traditionally blue area that went red last GE. Plenty of people here just hate Labour, whatever they say or do. They realise the Torys are bust now, and that Reform is their best way to keep Labour away.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Tories are in a similar situation in three years time, then a fuck tonne of their MPs will defect to Reform if it looks likely they'll lose their seats if they stay blue. Would also solve some of reforms issues in finding viable candidates.
