Farage Ltd and Similar Watch

Probably not the right thread but it's come up here, so,
While on our recent European tour, we visited a couple of WW2 museums in Belgium and Luxembourg. During those visits obviously the subject of the Nazi persecution of Jews came up. The current situation in Gaza came came into my mind and it greatly saddened me that it appears the Israelie regime is currently visiting the same actions on Palestinians as the Nazi did to them, you'd think after hundreds of years of persecution culminating in the attempted extermination of the Jewish people by Hitler, that they'd have a bit more tolerance.
 
The data shows what we all knew, it's a single issue which the established parties are simply failing at with their messaging and actions.

If other parties weren't so scared and actually tried to re-frame the immigration debate then Reform would crumble, but instead they try to be Reform-lite and simply end up pissing off everyone.
 
Dunno where to put this, it involves “patriots” so here’s a good as place as any, police were called to a protest against Jeremy Corbyn having a meeting in a community centre in Portsmouth, lots of angry “patriots” chanting Jeremy Corbyn’s a wanker, banging on windows and doors, trying to get in.
Corbyn wasn’t there, he wasn’t having a meeting, it was an after school club for disabled kids who were rightly terrified.
 
The BBC are posing further questions regarding the house in Clacton. Farage claimed last week that this partner/partners family had the wealth to buy it however their investigations suggest otherwise. When she met him she was waitressing to make ends meet after a business she was running failed.
He’s also apparently sought further legal advice on the matter recently.
There’s nothing illegal about him giving her the money and avoiding the tax but if that is the case it would be yet another example of him “misspeaking” on the subject.

Something is going on with farage, he’s gone quiet, which usually happens when he’s fucked up on something, and he’s hired a taxation expert KC

My brother was there. We have spent several hours arguing on fb this week. He makes provocative posts and I am amazed how many likes he gets. When I try to disagree he and his friends all make the same comments - that the left are full of hate and trying to silence the right. Neither he nor his friends have shown any desire or even ability to actually say what it is they believe (other than all transgender people are evil and people who hate the country should leave). Any disagreement proves my hatred of them and desire to silence them.
It is almost as though they are members of a cult - personal opinions are forbidden and friendship with outsiders is prohibited.
I have never encountered anything like this before.
But I am apparently the most hateful person my brother has ever met, and have been since childhood (60 years ago).
