YNWA is also slow and dreary, but because everyone joins in with it, it makes for a rousing atmosphere before a match at Anfield. I'm sceptical Wolves fans will suddenly take Fields of Gold that seriously. YNWA is a bit of an outlier.

Away fans often sing over this this though and the broadcasters turn the mic's down near their end of the ground. It's one of the things that annoys me.

At least it's at home . Another difficult draw against a PL team . I wouldn't say no to a run in this competition , chance to bed in the new players . We've a lot of new players between this season and last season .

There was also a stat along the lines of - over the last 7 years, Wolves have won the least number of points in August from ALL 92 clubs in the top 4 leagues.

What a load of bollocks that table is. I presume Sunderland, Leeds, Burnley, Bournemouth, Fulham and Forest include points from the championship and league one?

I think when we beat Everton under GO, that was our only PL win in August since we returned to this level.

Tbf we beat Sheff Utd on the opening day of 2020/21 but it was in September due to Covid.

Also beat West Ham away on 1st September 2018, so missed out by a day there.
