8th wouldn't be a surprise in my opinion, don't know about Everton though obviously swayed by their spending. On paper they look to have spent well but it doesn't always seem to pay off for them does it.

Everton have significantly strengthened this window. I'm not sure they're up to that level, and their defence is still a bomb-scare, but I don't think that's unjustifiable.
