Make no mistake, as it stands Wolves are in for a massive struggle next season to stay up.

We obviously need to sign players. My assumption is that we will sign then. My concern is (1) what the quality of player will be and (2) that we'll have to muddle along for the first few games of the season without a settled squad. I'm not sure what else there is to say. We're obviously screwed if we don't sign players, and I'm sure even the club knows that.

Obviously there are crossovers there, but that's 37 of our 56 goals last season or two thirds, as yet we are nowhere near addressing that.

But this implies that if those players weren't on the pitch, there would be no opportunities for any other player to be involved in a goal. It's a logical fallacy.

I haven't studied his record, but given the amount of jobs he's had, it's not exactly implausible to think that he's had a number of good 9 months followed by it steadily going to shit. In terms of a history of reliability, there's not stacks to put faith into. I don't think we'll go down, but clubs with better squads have done.

Last season he really endeared himself to us but I'm trying not to let that make me complacent about him and just presume it's a given that everything's on an upward curve
