The political voting from the judges has obviously always been there. My point is that the public vote has too much influence on the end result, and each phone having 20 votes creates problems. The Ukraine situation was obviously the same - sympathetic members of the public across Europe. What sticks in the craw somewhat, is that you can kind of shrug and let the sympathy vote win when it's for a country that's just been invaded by a hostile power, even though Sam should have won, you can let them have a bit of a boost.
